     Hi,


        I'm an Aussie bloke who stumbled across your website today. I have never served. Neither have my parents, 
    nor my uncles and aunts. My closest connection is my grandfather who was one of three to return from his 
    battalion (WWII).

    I just want to say thank you to the soldiers. Of course, my primary loyalty lies with Australia, yet without 
    the US fighting men, where would the world be?

    Good evening Mr. Dennard,


        It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday in Berkeley. I will have to check out Brigade America to get a 
    better feel for all you are doing. Glenn gave me four contact email addresses for you, so I'm taking a shot 
    at getting the right one.

    I wanted to tell you, upon receiving your initial statement of boycott a month or so ago, I too boycotted 
    anything "Berkeley". I realize my financial footprint is miniscule compared to you and others, but I am also 
    of the mindset that every penny counts.

    I can tell you, contrary to what some are saying, the boycott and the protests are having an impact. I wanted 
    to share this story with you from yesterday and then you can decide what to do with it.

        Thank you so much for your letter it brought tears to my wife and I to know that the left wing does not 
    speak for the entire country.Our son Joshua was KIA in Iraq on 11/27/2004 and 1 year after his sacrifice 
    his sister Antionette joined the Marine Corps,shortly after that her twin brother Anthony joined the Army.

   Mr. Dennard,

         I want to personally thank you for your letter to the Mayor of Berkeley, Ca., boycotting their city. I am 
     the mother of one of those young men ( Cpl. Jonathan "J.R." Spears KIA 10/23/05 ) killed for his right to 
     his sorry opinion. I wrote to him also, but of course, got no reply. I wish there were more men like you 
     out there.

         I recently read the news about the position you have taken on the Berkeley Marine recruiting station controversy. 
     Please let me say that as a Marine Corps reservist who has served three tours in Iraq, thank you very much from 
     the bottom of my heart. People like you are the patriots that make America a great nation.

         My SF A-team would like to send you an American flag that was flown over our base camp in afghan. These 
     American flags are given to proud Americans and people who support our troops! It is so impressive to see 
     a proud American stand up for what they feel and be able to put that in words and actions!
